Is this for all dog breeds and sizes?
It's made for adult dogs of any breed or size, from 6 months to about 8 years old. Every dog is different — some respond straight away, some take a few days, and some aren't bothered at all. Senior dogs or dogs with hearing loss may not notice the tone.
How long does the battery last?

How does an ultrasonic bark deterrent work?
When you press the button, the device plays a high-pitched ultrasonic tone (about 25–40 kHz). Most dogs pause to check out the sound. That pause is your moment to reward the quiet with praise or a treat — the reward is what builds the new habit over time.
Does it work through walls, windows or solid fences?
No. Ultrasonic sound doesn't travel through solid objects. Use it in the same room or yard as your dog, with a clear line of sight and nothing solid in between.
How far away does it work?
It works best within about 18 feet (5.5 m) and has a maximum range of about 26 feet (8 m), with a clear line of sight.
Can people hear the sound?
Most adults can't hear it. Some people, especially children, may hear a faint high-pitched sound.
What's the difference between the two tone modes?
There's a steady tone and a pulsing tone. Try both and use the one your dog notices most.
How do I use it to train my dog?
Press once when the barking starts, wait for your dog to pause, then reward the quiet straight away. Use it the same way every time. Short, consistent sessions with rewards work better than pressing it repeatedly.

Can I use it on my neighbor's dog?
It's designed for training your own dog, together with rewards. It won't work through walls or fences, and we don't recommend using it on dogs you can't supervise or reward.
Is it suitable for puppies or senior dogs?
We don't recommend it for puppies under 6 months. Senior dogs over about 8 years may not notice the tone, as hearing often changes with age.
How is it different from a shock collar?
Nothing is worn by your dog and nothing touches the skin — there's no electric stimulation and no spray. You hold it and use it only when you need it, at home or on walks.

Bought it to see if the frequency would be high enough for my deaf dog, it says in the instructions that it’s not, but it works great for my hearing dogs.
